Isaac Newton Farris, Jr. is the nephew of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Farris has just been named president of the legendary Atlanta-based civil rights organization his uncle co-founded: the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC). In part 1 of a conversation with WABE's Denis O'Hayer, Farris outlined his plans for ensuring the future of SCLC, which in the last few years nearly succumbed to financial problems and internal feuding.
