Atlanta chefs Steven Satterfield of Miller Union and Ryan Smith of Staplehouse were named finalists March 15 for a 2017 James Beard Foundation Award, both vying for best chef in the Southeast.
Miller Union also is in the running in the “outstanding wine program” category.
And New York design firm Meyer Davis is a finalist for its restaurant design of Chef Ford Fry’s St. Cecilia in Buckhead.
The winners will be announced May 1 in Chicago.
