American Airlines will pay about $10 million in labor and other costs to correct pilot scheduling mistakes that left thousands of flights unstaffed around Christmas, a noted aviation analyst estimates.
J.P. Morgan Chase analyst Jamie Baker issued the estimate, according to a Bloomberg report. American (Nasdaq: AAL) did not comment immediately, and has declined requests to put a cost estimate on the scheduling mix-up.
