  4. This show was a failure from jump. Everybody came thinking Martin was the headliner but he was the HOST. Wack. I will say Martin is definitely getting his comedy chops back slowly but surely.

As for JB he should have never been the closer, Michael Blackson went before him and killed with his energy. Once JB came out and his first joke ain't land it was a wrap. It got so bad I was waiting for the sandman to tap dance his ass off the stage lmao

  5. I don’t see anything wrong with what he did…sure he didn’t have to say it like that but he letting the audience know…this is who I am for better or worse! As for the lady video you played….how you doing a review in your car bruh lmao

  6. i’ve seen JB perform three times and he was hilarious every time. The Audience was mostly black each time. When he said Nigga he meant he doesn’t do the Modasucka and down y’all black folks like some comedians do. He talks about his life and real shit. He handled it professionally tho.

  7. I was there at the show last night, he only meant he wasnt the type of comedian that says nigga throughout his stand up. And if that was the type of comedian the crowd wanted, he wasnt that. Bad assumption and judgement. But they booed him off of the first joke. He hadnt made any of these comments until after being booed and trying to recover. Now he couldve done a better job at appealing to the crowd at hand. Bcuz his material wasnt that funny. But definitely wasnt bad enough to be booed. Now Martin on the other hand, it was expected that he would be headlining. That was some bs for the amount of $ we paid for our tickets. Bamboozled.

  8. I think he replaced DeRay as headliner. DeRay was on the original bill… I’ve been into JB since Comic View. But he was totally out of place… The crowd started heckling him when he noticed how bad he was doing. We don’t want to see you off your square down here… I totally missed the “nigga” joke. I get it, but he could’ve saved that comment. The show was lacking to say the least. Glad I bought my ticket late and only paid $55 🤷🏽‍♀️

  14. Know your audience??? Blah blah blah. What difference does it really make? Hes never been funny! I agree with most of the earlier commenters. It is Martin's tour so I was clear that he was hosting. But for you all to start late and Rickey smiley to be the first on stage to welcome the crowd made no sense. Benji brown unbeknownst to many of the people there last night was the FUNNIEST on the whole tour and he got very little time. Also when martin came on stage for the first time after Benji brown and was naming the comedians he didn't even mention Benji. So sad! I knew when jb smoove came up I could gone on and start the trek to my car. Michael blackson killed it. I don't even recall him being that funny. I was literally crying! They have been on this tour for a while. Maybe they need to go home and regroup.

  17. He only esteems his white audiences. He disrespects black audiences. He's mildly funny ..at best. Reminds me of how black entertainers barely show up for the BET show but then be sitting in the Grammy's looking hopeful..with a big smile, all dressed up–only to get zilch. #BoycottStarbucks

  19. He didn't mean he wasn't for black
audiences, he meant he wasn't for
    nigga audiences….
That is, he wasn't for audiences that mostly identify with
hood humor that only hood people want to see.
He is for a more universal audience.
    I respect him more.

  21. I clapped with those who were trying to drown out the boos but he isn’t really funny to me, never has been. But everyone has their own preference. There are people who love him. Just want to point out, people were not offended by that comment. No one felt like he was talking bad about Atlanta. He was booed because they thought he was boring. I enjoyed the show despite the ending.

  23. I was there last night….hell he wasn’t funny at all. He should not have closed out the show much less came on after Michael Blackston who MURDERED it. I felt bad that he got boo’d, however when you’ve already lost the crowd you damn sure ain’t gone recover by talking bout our city. I didn’t get offended, however some people around me did express their disdain for his comments. I feel like Martin should’ve tried to satisfy the audience with a few more jokes after his crowd was not happy with Jb’s performance BUT it is what it is. I would either change the lineup and replace Jb or change the name of the tour from Lit Af to mildly ignited 🤷🏽‍♀️
