$3M donation to UGA law school targets first-generation students

A $3 million donation to The University of Georgia School of Law – the largest in its history – will go toward helping students who are the first in their families to attend college.

The First-Start Scholars Program was created by a lead gift from 1982 alumna Kathleen V. Amos and the Daniel P. Amos Family Foundation. Dan Amos is the chairman and CEO of Columbus, Ga.-based Aflac Inc.
