Former Chicago mayor to retire from Coca-Cola board of directors

Coca-Cola will soon be adding another new member to its board of directors, announcing Thursday that Richard M. Daley will not stand for reelection at the company’s annual meeting in April.

The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) said that Daley, who served as mayor of Chicago from 1989 to 2011, will retire after eight years on Coke’s board.
